instructor's vitae.
Dr. Jeffrey H. Reed
Dr. Jeffrey H. Reed, founder of Reed Engineering, is an active researcher in DSP techniques for
communication systems and has a particular interest in signal processing
methods for interference rejection. Dr. Reed received his BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering
from the University of California, Davis, and received the American
Electronics Teaching Fellowship Award while completing his Ph.D. In August 1992, he
joined the faculty at Virginia Tech.
Dr. Brian D. Woerner
Dr. Brian D. Woerner's research interests involve the
development of modulation, error correction, and interference rejection
techniques for CDMA systems. He received his BS in Computer and Electrical
Engineering from Purdue University in 1986, and his MS and Ph.D. in 1987 and
1991, respectively, and an MS in Public Policy, with an emphasis
on telecommunications policy, from the University of Michigan, where he was a Unisys
Fellow. He has served on the faculty at Virginia Tech since 1991.
William Newhall
Bill Newhall is a wireless communications researcher with Virginia Tech's
Mobile and Portable Radio Research Group (MPRG) and an engineer with
Grayson Wireless. Bill earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering
from Virginia Tech, where he was a General Motors Scholar and where he
